Nikolaus Wagner began his piano-education at the Conservatory of Vienna with Leonid Brumberg, and continued to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts with Antoinette van Zabner, Theresa Leopold, and David Lutz.
Nikolaus Wagner accompanies members of the Vienna Philharmonic, Vienna Symphoniker, Radio Symphony Orchestra of Vienna, Tonkünstlerorchester Niederösterreich, DSO Berlin and the Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris“.
Wagner gives frequent concerts and recitals at the Musikverein Vienna, Konzerthaus Vienna, at the Philharmonie Berlin, Cologne, Baden-Baden Freiburg and Colombia University New York.
As a founding member of the Trio Marc Chagallhe is a laureate of the international Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition and also a recipient of the Karajan-scholarship.
Trio Marc Chagallwas was invited for concerts at the Schubertsaal and Mozartsaal at Konzerthaus, Vienna, Italy, USA and Germany ( Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern).
Nikolaus Wagner is a Solorepetitor at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz and works as a piano pedagogue at the Oberösterreichischen Landesmusikschulwerk.
